All,
Hello! New to the tribe. Anyway, going to Iceland for the Iceland Airwaves Music Festival this October; will be there for 4 full days. Already have a one-day pass to Laugar Spa; what else should I do that won't take me too far out of the city or get me up too early in the AM (I plan on seeing as many bands as possible). I'm open to suggestions!
Also, I can't seem to find a good small Berlitz-style pocket guide to Icelandic. I realize it's a very hard language to speak, but having taken Old English (and read Beowulf in the original), I'd love to at least have a small guide for key phrases. Amazon only has textbooks and CDs. Can anyone recommend a title?
Thanks so much--very psyched about this trip; can't wait to go.
